Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Draft League web application at draft.pccbl.com ("the Site") and the Draft League Discord bot ("the Bot"). By using either, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and comply with Discord's Terms of Service to use the Bot or Site. Anyone may browse public leagues; participation in a league requires registering an account (via Discord OAuth or email) and joining a league through its Discord bot or web join request.

2. What This Service Does

Draft League is a fan-made tool for running Pokemon-themed draft leagues on Discord. It manages league creation, team registration, draft picks, match scheduling, standings, and roster transactions. It is not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, or Game Freak.

4. Discord Integration

The Bot and Site use Discord's OAuth2 system. When you log in with Discord, you grant permission for the service to read your Discord user ID and username. We do not request access to your server list, messages, message content, or payment information. Your Discord access token is never stored.

League creation is initiated through the Discord bot via a slash command. The bot generates a short-lived signed link that verifies your identity and server permissions without requiring the website to access your server list. The Discord bot reads server membership to look up player display names, and posts messages only to channels that a league administrator explicitly configures. It does not create or delete channels, manage roles, or make any other changes to your server.

5. League Owners

If you create a league, you are responsible for its administration, including the accuracy of match results, fair management of transactions, and the conduct of participants within your league. You must have the authority to add the Draft League bot to any Discord server you link to a league. Leagues that violate these Terms may be suspended or removed at our discretion.

6. User Content

You are responsible for any content you provide - including team names, slogans, and banner images. Content that is offensive, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate may be removed by an administrator.

7. Intellectual Property

Pokemon and all related names, characters, and marks are trademarks of Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, and Game Freak. This service is a fan project and makes no claim to those marks. Sprite artwork used on this site is sourced from Pokemon Showdown and is used for non-commercial purposes.

8. Service Availability

The service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime or data preservation. See our Privacy Policy for our standard data retention practices; we may archive or delete inactive leagues or accounts after extended periods of inactivity, with reasonable advance notice where practical.

9. Termination

You can delete your own account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts or leagues that violate these Terms, with notice where practical. On termination, personal information is removed; aggregated league records (such as match results) may be retained in anonymized form to preserve league history for other participants.

10. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any losses resulting from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss or service interruptions.

11. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
